What a day. Woke up early and E started mucking out I helped. She felt so hung over she was sick a couple of times but still soldiered on.
While we were doing that the dogs got out! We didn't notice for an hour so they had a good escape(see the photos on my blog.
When I found out I really paniced. We searched the fields and up and down the road. E and P took the car and searched further. My little boy was in tears. My husband searched in another car.
I rang the police and they had just recieved a phone call from a lady hlaf a mile away who had found a adult and puppy matching the description. they said they would pass on my number. Oh thank heavens!
Fortunately the lady had managed to secure them in a stable. Eddy the adult was shaking when he was picked up but really relieved to see us.
After that went for a late brunch and heard all the tales of the night before. C did an improptu pole display rather rauncy but got her free drinks and she fulfilled her dare. Everybody else chickened out (go girl)! There is photographic evidence so may publish on the blog.
Afternoon has been spent grooming and getting uniforms ready for school.

Party at Springfield
@ 2008-04-27 – 01:19:39
Held a little party at Springfield this evening for Pete and Emma's birthday. Basically food and drink before they headed off to Blackpool. Everyone looked great especially seeing them all out of their joddies and dolled up.
Drank lots of cheeky vimtos and black russian. Surprised I can write this blog! and singing away to Mika (sorry neighbours!)They all then went off and left me to clear up but benefitted from C's help and conversation putting the world to rights.
Don't know how we'll manage the mucking out in the morning. Never mind the washing ironing and getting son ready for school. -
Horsepeople
@ 2008-04-25 – 19:31:47
I have been spending time reading peoples blogs and getting to grips with the site. I was looking at people with similar interests to myself such as horses when I came across a new group started "horsepeople" I went on this site and found it had been opened by my very dear friend Emma. Love to you Emma hope you get lots of new members.
Tomorrow it is Pete's (the stable groom) and Emma's birthday bash all the people of the yard are going out to Blackpool for a fun party night they are all meeting at the stables first for a few drinks, they plan to end up at the Flamingo. Happy Birthday Pete and Emma.
Anyone out in Blackpool watchout.

My First Blog
@ 2008-04-25 – 18:12:27
I have never "blogged" before in fact if it wasn't for a good friends love of blogging I don't think I would've even heard of it. I am not great with computers we are uncomfortable allies so I don't know if I am doing this right or not.
I live with my husband and son aged 8. We share our home with 21 horses and ponies 2 dogs a cat and a peacock. As you can image life is very busy. Not all the horses are ours, however, we have stables and many of them are liveries. All day long people are coming and going. springfielsd has become a little community and I thought I would record this through the blog.
My husband has had a keen interest in horses all his life, I have come to this very late but Have been bitten by the bug and bore everybody I come into contact with my horse stories. This is ok around the stables but when I am at work I proberly become tedious. Only work part time as that is all I can fit in.
At present we have a number of escape artists on the yard headed by a 12 hands pony called Pip. He found a weak bit of the fence and 6 of the ponies went on the rampage. Fortunately they chose an understanding neighbour who could see the funny side of hoof prints in her garden, if they had headed into another neighbours garden who is a cross between Mr Meldrew and Mrs Bucket I think they may have been rounded and shot. Anyway they took themselves across the road found themselves another field and grazed there. When we went to fetch them Pip looked rather sheepish and head down lead the rebels back. thankfully none of them were hurt.
On Sunday I was really proud of my little boy as he won first place in a local show taking his pony inhand this was the first ever show for him and the pony and they did very well. Everyone from the yard went to cheer him on and his face when he found out he had won was a picture. I hope this the first of many. wednesday some of the girls from the yard are jumping at a local show so I wish them luck.
